What’s so wrong with throwing yourself into a whole new life when your old life is busy going nowhere and the new one involves a drop dead gorgeous celebrity?

As it turns out, just about everything.

Hi and welcome to my new website. I’m delighted to announce the publication of my first ever novel Someone Like Me.

As a journalist who has spent most of my working life interviewing celebrities, I wanted to write about a love affair between an ordinary young woman Lottie Gilbert, 39, who is disillusioned with love and life, and a big-time star who walks into her café where she is a chef.

The title came from the assumption lots of us have, that exciting, amazing things don’t happen to Someone Like Me. When in fact, you never know just what fate has in store for you. 

Interviewing hundreds of celebrities, I’ve also been fascinated about fame and the attraction of living your life under scrutiny for everyone to comment on. And of course the torment caused by the growing army of trolls on Twitter.
